Currently offering classes for pre-crawlers only.
If you are looking for support for concerns with your crawling baby or older child, please contact me for a private session on zoom or in-person in my Park Slope, Brooklyn office.
We Grow Together offers two class sections with age ranges which overlap somewhat, because babies develop at different rates. The descriptions below will help you decide which class might be a better fit. If both classes sound like they might work well, you’re probably right! Each class is uniquely shaped by the needs or concerns of each parent and baby who attend it.
Pre-Crawlers Tummy Time, Reaching and Rolling
In this gentle, joyful class, parents bond with their babies as they learn to support development through touch and movement.
All classes are customized to the babies (and parents) in them so don’t worry about class being too. young or too advanced for your baby.
A parent’s touch can help babies become more comfortable in many positions, including tummy-time, and parent/baby interaction can influence how and when a baby discovers new ways of moving, such as reaching and rolling. Parents learn answers to their questions about their baby’s development, find new confidence, and also notice other positive changes in their babies, such as reduction of “colic”, improved ability to self-soothe, and improvements with feeding.
This series is different every time! You’re welcome to come back, and many parents do come back for a second round of this age level.
We Grow Together II :
Belly-Crawling – Beginning to Stand
Rolling, Pivoting, Belly-Crawling, Sitting, Standing, Cruising
This group class is open to all babies over 5m old . Parents and caretakers learn to support and encourage the learning of movements that will become the building blocks for balanced, coordinated sitting, crawling, walking and more.
All classes are customized to the babies in them: If your 5m+ baby is not yet rolling, or still hating tummy-time this is still the class for you! And you’re welcome to come back – it’s different every time and many parents repeat this series two, three and even four times!
